Romania amends gambling taxation mechanism

Romania has, via an amendment to its Fiscal Code, altered the taxation mechanism on revenues derived by individuals through participating in online gambling activities. Gambling operators must now withhold the related tax from each withdrawal performed by the player from the account opened on the gaming platform.
