UEFA is to investigate the impact that third-party finance has on compliance with its Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, after the English Premier League (EPL) notified UEFA that its prohibition on third party involvement in transfers puts its clubs at a disadvantage. / read more

Great Britain's Gambling Commission has recently launched a consultation on 'Integrity in Sports Betting', which includes reference to the use and misuse of 'inside information', including a standard definition of what constitutes 'inside information'. Paul Scotney of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) examines issues caused by the lack of a clear definition in sport for what constitutes 'inside information' and examines the responsibilities of sport governing bodies to police use of 'inside information' in order to protect sport's integrity. Scotney is the BHA's Director of Integrity Services, Compliance and Licensing and a member of the Sports Betting Group established by the UK Government's 2010 Parry Review. / read more
